Dr. Nitin Kolte is the Medical Director and the Chief Surgical Ophthalmologist at Poona Eye Care. Specialised in diagnosis and management of a wide variety of eye problems, he is an experienced cornea surgeon.

He has performed over 30,000 cataract surgeries and nearly 20,000 LASIK eye corrections with a high success rate. He is amongst the few to offer presbyond services (positive eye correction Lasik – freedom from reading glasses that appear around 40 years of age). He is also well-versed in infantile cataract surgeries, infantile glaucomas, ptosis surgery, nasolacrimal duct obstruction procedures, management of ectopia lentis, enucleations and implants and in several types of laser procedures. He was a pioneer in starting Laser DCR procedures in the Indian State of Maharashtra (Outside Mumbai).

Dr. Kolte completed his M.B.B.S from RMC Loni and DNB in Ophthalmic Surgery from the National Board of Examinations, Delhi. He has been a practicing ophthalmologist and ophthalmic surgeon for over 18 years.
